It’s easy to get discouraged when we try to do things in our own power.
It’s easy to feel defeated when we don’t receive affirmation from those we minister to.
But we need to remember that we don’t proclaim the Gospel for our own sake.
We don’t share the love of Christ for praise, accolades, or validation.
We don’t bring our faith into our homes because we want our families to pat us on the back.
We do it because we love Him, and we love them. And if we love them, and we love Him, then we have no choice but to see hearts won for Jesus as our reward – as our praise – as our thanks.
In 2 Corinthians Paul says, “You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.” (2 Cor 2:2-3)
Who are the people in your life that are your letters from Christ?
Who has Jesus written on your heart with the Holy Spirit?
Let’s rejoice today for those people, and thank the Lord for HIS strength, HIS power, and HIS call on our lives.
